Speaking at the #TRINXAT

Xavier Menduiña (The Boss), Twitting during the #TRINXAT

Last Thursday I attended as guest speaker at the meeting of the group #TRINXAT, held in the city of Reus (Tarragona) on the third Thursday of each month.

The #TRINXAT is a reference and very active user group on Twitter, which acts as a forum to develop networking opportunities and expand personal social networks, taking advantage of an encounter in the real world, from a dinner conversation where attends a limited number of people to share an interesting theme with an expert or speaker of reference in order to connect restless spirits and entrepreneurs.

In each #TRINXAT they attend around 10 resident members (fix members of the group), and between 10 or 15 non-resident guests. The contents of each meeting are shared live in Twitter with the virtual community.

Is was really very interesting both for what we discussed, and for the people who attended.  At the same time, it was a curious experience for me because I knew this intense world of the " Twitter Community", which shares real-time and On Line, their experiences and comments. All Twitterers were constantly connected to their mobile phones (smart phones) in connection with others "hooked" that did not stop making comments in real time. Just as a fact note that during the event they were generated 388 Tweets, which led to 18,239 impressions, reaching a total of 37,000 people. Impressive, isn’t it?

I’m on Facebook and LinkedIn, because there, without having to be connected to any particular frequency, I can use it to disseminate the contents of my website, which I have it linked directly in these applications. Instead, I’m not on Twitter because I have no time (and I do not know if I want) to be aware and active in this community in real time. But this is only my personal choice, and the truth is that this whole social networking world, it is interesting and perhaps also necessary to follow, if you want to be aware how are going the habits and trends of our society.

    Hola Albert,
