For my surprise, I have been nominated to "Catalan of the Year 2011", an award given by the newspaper El Periodico since 2000 which has become a very prestigious recognition to leading figures of Catalan society.

Obviously I am delighted that there are people who have remembered me for this event, and has devoted his time to propose and/or vote for me. But I have to say that I feel a bit beyond me to be so near to people that I admire very much and, honestly speaking, I think they have far superior reasons to mine to be chosen as the Catalans of the year.

I am really impressed just appearing beside some characters such as: The journalist Joaquim Maria Puyal, the rock group Sopa de Cabra,  the pilot Laia Sanz, the pop musical group Catarras the sculptor Jaume Plensa, the Basketball player Marc Gasol, the sailor Anna Corbella, or the designer Javier Mariscal.

To all I wish lots of luck, because for me just being appointed to the nomination has already been a success, and being in the same website as them, a whole pride.
