I’ve been given a very special award:The Voyage of the Year award for the "Spanish Geographic Society", which I presented during the annual ceremony of this prestigious organisation held in Madrid on Tuesday, March 12 night.

This year also have been awarded in various forms, such big names in the field of adventure, exploration and travel, including: Borge Ousland (Explorer and one of my absolute idols), Enric Sala (Spanish marine biologist and former resident of National Geographic Society), Salvador Rivas (Botanist and Mountaineer), Acciona (leader in promoting renewable energy) and Gerardo Olivares (Documentary and traveller).

Receiving the award is an absolute honour for me, and sharing this ceremony with so special people which are passionate about "Living" and "Knowing" our loved and delicate planet, is an absolute pleasure.
