Explore a new look of the Natural Areas
To celebrate the World Nature Day on March 3, WORLD NATURE and Albert Bosch present the new joint project called "WORLD NATURE EXPLORING" , which will use the adventure as a tool to explore, communicate and take awareness of the value of the natural habitat where the activity will take place, as well as promote an attitude of love and respect for biodiversity and the environment.
The project will start with a challenge in which I will cross alone the Lake Inari, in the Arctic Circle in Finnish Lapland. The Inari has 1,000 km2 and is the northernmost lake and nearest to North Pole in Europe. The trip will cross diagonally using cross country skis and pulling a sled with all the necessary to cover the 145Km alone, under 6 stages, where temperatures are always between minus 20 and minus 40.
This first challenge of the project will value boreal forests, key in the process of absorption of CO2 from the atmosphere; a rich fauna used to live away from the human activity; the effect of water and ice on the ground; and the phenomenon of the Northern Lights.
During 2016 there are scheduled at least 4 adventures that will deepen in 4 very special environments for the natural values they offer. Apart from the crossing of Lake Inari, we have planned: Ecrins massif in the French Alps (Ski-Mountaineering), crossing Iceland (BTT) and Integral tour to the Islands of Ibiza and Formentera (Kayak).
WORLD NATURE is an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation and spread environmental education and awareness. It works in a positive and constructive way, involving individuals, businesses and public administrations in demonstration projects on the ground.
Being faithful to the commitment to minimize the environmental impact of our expeditions, all CO2 emissions which are caused by the transport annex to the adventure, will be compensated by the program KILÓMETROS VERDES
