Mountain ports: Col des Gets (1,163m) – La Colombière (1,613m)
Well this has already begun. First day of this route through the highest Alps to reach the sea.
We have left Lake Léman to make a beautiful first stage crossing the Upper Savoy of the Chablais Massif up to the Cluses Valley, passing through the Gorges of the Dranse and reaching the end of the day at the heart of the Aravis.
The first port exceeded has been the one of Gets (1,163m), not very hard, but ideal to make debut and to put the legs ready for what was ahead. Towards the end of the day we made the Col la Colombière (1,613m), which was the first hard climb and worthy of a Tour de France.
Our physical state is fine, and with the excitement and desire to do the following stages, we feel great! We are in route in one of the best itineraries in the world for road bikes. We can not ask for more!
