Finally 5th in final overall position!
And today, the last stage of just 10Km, everyone has come to the sprint, specially the youngest and the Japanese and the Koreans, who were running as if there would not be a tomorrow… I also started fast and I stayed with those in front during the first 2 km. But then I said to myself “Come on, you have long legs and you feel full of energy”, and I pushed hard leading the stage for 2 Km and leaving the big front group behind.
But then I was caught by Stefan Zuber, the race leader (young, strong and very fast), and I was not able to follow him. But struggling myself I could keep the 2nd position until the end.
I am very pleased with this multi stages Ultra, going from less to more. A little more conservative at the beginning and stronger at the end.
On Monday I will post a general conclusion and overview of this Adventure Race… hope you’ll like it.
