What a super stage! The longest of the route, the one that has more slope and the one that has led us to cross more mountain passes.<\/p>\n

With less famous mountain passes than in the previous ones, it has allowed us to enjoy ups and wild and authentic landscapes.<\/p>\n

We started with the Valle de l’Ubaye to climb the magnificent Col de la Cayolle (2,326m) and enter the heart of the Mercantour National Park.<\/p>\n

The second part of the stage has taken us to the V\u00e9subie Valley through magnificent landscapes, charming little villages and very little traveled roads, in an already clearly Mediterranean environment, surpassing the Col de la Couillole (1,678m).<\/p>\n

Finally we could not finish the stage where we had planned, for 2 reasons: There was no accommodation available (we always look it at noon when we are sure where we will arrive), and because it has started to rain. That is why we have stayed in Valdeblore, 400m+ from the last port. Tomorrow we’ll have to leave earlier in order to recover these meters of ascent and the 17Km. that we lacked. But if there is no problem, tomorrow we will reach the Mediterranean coast (Menton), and we will have completed the challenge!<\/p>\n<\/div>
