Here we start the southern part of the French Alps, and to celebrate it and contemplate a certain change of landscape, we have climbed the Col de l’Izoard (2,360m), very long, but with a fairly progressive slope. From there, an enjoyable descent to enter the Queyras Massif and the famous \u00abCasse Deserte\u00bb pass.<\/p>\n

With magnificent views over the Barrier of the Ecrins, we have focused the Col de Vars (2,108m), to reach the Barcelonnette, a very curious place in the middle of a very wild valley, but full of Mexican-style houses, since many of its inhabitants had emigrated to Mexico and had returned after making their fortune. We will have a tequila after dinner to honor them and remember how we enjoyed this great stage.<\/p>\n

Really we’ve done a deal with the rain… We wake up early and we ride hard enjoying the great cols and magnificent views, and she comes only in the last few Km. of the stage (It has been like this every day).<\/p>\n<\/div>
