Integral traverse of the French Alps


Undoubtedly one of the best road bike routes in the world.

From Lake Léman (Swiss border) to the Mediterranean Sea (France), integrally crossing the French Alps, through the most mythical mountain passes of the Tour de France.

From Thonon-les-Bains to Nice, the route has 720Km with 19,000 meters of positive elevation, crowning 18 of the highests cols in the French Alps, among which the Galibier, the Aravis, the Iseran, the Cornet de Roselend, the Izoard, the Colombiere, the Bonette or the Cayolle.

Winding and endless roads, amazing landscapes, magical valleys and a lot of culture, cycling a top route for road biking from the Upper Savoy to the Maritime Alps, crossing successively the Chablais, Beaufortain, Vanoise, Cerces, Queyras, l’Ubaye and Mercantour; and of course, enjoying such special views as the summit of Mont Blanc or the emblematic Ecrins.
