The "Trail2Challenge" transpyrenean adventure began on October 15th, ending on Sunday, October 20th in the small Navarre town of Isaba. 900 Km. and 25,700 meters of positive slope from Saint Jean de Luz (France) from Cadaqués (Costa Brava-Spain).
This week SELVANS Association and the XCN (Nature Conservation Network) have organized in Girona the largest world congress on the potential of forests in health, which represents a very important factor for humans and so that they also have an interest in preserving these special forests.
Today started the GOBI MARCH, an extreme race in self-sufficiency of 250Km that takes place in 6 stages (7 days, because there is a stage of almost 80Km for which they have two days). And the adventurer Albert Bosch has dedicated his participation in it to promote the fundraising campaign for the realization of a Great Forest Reserve in the centennial forest of Milany.
The Selvans Association organizes the III International Congress on the Potential of Forests on Health will take place from October 7 to 10 2019 in Girona – La Garrotxa. The purpose of the Congress is to create a meeting space for the knowledge and exchange of experiences from around the world in the use and valorization of forest ecosystem services.
Albert’s next personal challenge is running the GOBI MARCH adventure race in Mongolia from July 28 to August 3, but with this he is proposing a greater (and much more valuable) challenge shared with all of you, in order to protect a part of the forest territories most threatened and with greater ecological value, such as mature forests.
