Ho va teoritzar el catedràtic de Berkeley Carlo M.Cipolla, en el seu tractat de “Les lleis bàsiques de la estupidesa humana”.
Molt resumides, son aquestes cinc lleis:
- Sempre menystenim el nombre d’estúpids en circulació.
- La probabilitat de que una persona sigui estúpida és independent de qualsevol altre característica d’aquesta persona.
- Una persona estúpida sempre perjudica a les altres persones, sense obtenir cap benefici a canvi o, fins i tot, perdent-hi.
- Els No estúpids sempre obliden el poder de perjudicar que tenen els estúpids.
- Els estúpids son el pitjor tipus de persones. Son més perillosos que els malvats, doncs amb els malvats com a mínim es pot negociar, perquè tenen un interès en obtenir un resultat.
Potser per entendre el món i liderar la nostra realitat, és necessari entendre la estupidesa humana. I llavors veure com la esquivem, ens protegim o lluitem contra ella (Paraula de Cipolla).
