Let’s beware of the stupid, because they are the most powerful group in the world.
This was theorised by Berkeley professor Carlo M. Cipolla in his treatise ‘Basic Laws of Human Stupidity’.

In a nutshell, they are these five:
- We always underestimate the number of stupid people in circulation.
- The probability that a person is stupid is independent of any other characteristic of that person.
- A stupid person always harms other people, without gaining any benefit or even losing out.
- Non-stupid people always forget the power of the stupid to harm.
- Stupid people are the worst kind of people. They are more dangerous than the evil ones, because with the evil ones you can at least negotiate because they have an interest in getting a result.
Perhaps to understand the world and to lead our reality, it is necessary to understand human stupidity. And then see how we dodge it, protect ourselves or fight against it (Cipolla’s word).
